The Alpha chapter of Nu Phi Delta was founded by the founding fathers:
Nu Phi Delta was founded at Hunter College on September 24, 2008. The idea was to create a brotherhood which led to assist its members through personal growth. The fraternity at Hunter College focuses on taking the strengths of its members and utilizing them to their maximum potential, as well as making their members reach their potential on a microcosmic and macro-cosmic level. The weaknesses of the members are paid close attention to and strengthened through the pledging process and membership.
The fraternity was raised on its three pillars of Acceptance, Brotherhood, and Leadership.
Believing that all men are social creatures and that the friendships of college men are lasting ones, we the men of Nu Phi Delta Multicultural Fraternity, do hereby seek to promote these associations through a social fraternity which will uphold the true standards of brotherhood.
Nu Phi Delta is to consider for membership those who are diverse, intelligent, well-rounded, and talented individuals attending the said University, whose personality, social, and academic qualifications are acceptable to the respective organization. Nu Phi Delta is interested in more than just the accumulation of members, and emphasizes the quality, dedication, and integrity of individuals over the quantity of those prospective members. Nu Phi Delta will seek individuals who will respect and educate themselves on Greek life. In return, Nu Phi Delta will serve as a conduit through which individuals may develop a better personal and professional experience, while providing a service to the community at the said University.
Nu Phi Delta's mission is outlined by these Six points:
